Carry Out Truck Check-in Yourself Without a Pre-booked Slot
When registering at the gate, truck drivers slip from the passive into the active role: instead of waiting for a long time because they missed or did not book an appointment, truck drivers can now use the new spontaneous registration by myleo / dsc. Simply register yourself and speed up your call-off - thanks to an easy-to-understand process via web app.
Long waiting times and traffic jams in front of and on the factory premises are usually the order of the day for truck drivers. If it is up to their client, they have pre-booked slots for loading or unloading. However, sometimes either they or those responsible for factory dispatch are unable to adhere to these. Even more annoying: often not even a slot is booked - the truck is unplanned at the gate and can only be processed with a great deal of time and effort. To resolve this chaos, myleo / dsc has integrated a new ‘spontaneous registration’ option into its end-2-end supply chain platform as part of the lorry registration process. Drivers can access this feature via the truck driver web app by simply scanning a QR code at the factory gate. This can be done easily in the browser of a mobile device without prior download. If the drivers do not have internet-enabled devices, they can log in at a check-in terminal. The call-off is then carried out via SMS.
Register With Just A Few Clicks
The process within the web app is kept lean. After selecting the language, the application enables you to register without a slot or transport number. To do this, drivers only need to provide brief information about the product range or type of goods in their delivery, the order number and the carrier and supplier. Which information is requested and how the process is organised can be configured individually. After logging in, the truck drivers receive information about their call-off in the app.
‘The new spontaneous registration feature within the truck driver web app now completes the digital truck registration process and allows fully automated check-in - without a staffed gate. This represents an important response by myleo / dsc to the increasing shortage of skilled labour,’ explains Christian Piehler, Member of the Board at myleo / dsc, responsible for customer management. ‘The new spontaneous registration also contributes to the satisfaction of truck drivers, who are now more independent but still guided on the premises. These digital features reduce effort, paperwork, throughput times and costs whilte at the same time creating a high degree of transparency and process reliability.’
